Moreover, notwithstanding the challenges we faced, we persevered, consequently achieving success, albeit with some setbacks, yet ultimately emerging stronger and more resilient.

New permanent Exibition on the third floor - renovation and rehabilitation of the rooms, including structural interventions to increase the floor load capacity.

Work location: Turin (TO), Italy

Client: Fondazione Museo delle Antichità Egizie di Torino (non-profit organization)

Project start and end dates: February 2023 – November 2023

Sector: Museum, prestigious buildings

Role played in the project: SD2 functioned in the role of responsible for the design &
shop drawings, project management, construction site supervisor, required permits.

Project consisted of the renovation and rehabilitation of the existing rooms, to adapt them to the new configuration, including the structural interventions using carbon-fiber composites to increase the floor load capacity and the adaptation of the systems.

Embarking on the extensive renovation and rehabilitation project at the Egyptian Museum's third floor, a comprehensive array of engineering works has unfolded. From the initial assessment of the existing structure to the strategic interventions aimed at augmenting the floor load capacity, every phase of the project has been meticulously executed. Structural enhancements were seamlessly integrated, fortifying foundations and optimizing key elements within the rooms.

The heart of the initiative lies in creating a captivating and dynamic exhibition space, ensuring the preservation of historical artifacts. Thus, these engineering works serve as a testament to the intricate fusion of modern engineering expertise and cultural heritage preservation at the Egyptian Museum's new permanent exhibition on the third floor.

Entire area of the new exhibition is approximately 600 m2.
